He earned an MBA and MEd in Social Studies Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Professor Stafford taught secondary social studies for fourteen years before joining the faculty of NCCC in 1981. He is the author or co-author of a variety of economics and consumer economics texts and received the New York State Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1998.
